Recomat SMART RVM 2.0 – a new generation of deposit-return machines

Recomat SMART RVM 2.0 is the latest version of our reverse vending machine, developed continuously since 2020. The device meets the standards required by deposit-return system operators and has been designed for stores that need a fast, reliable and easy-to-use solution.

Ready for the deposit-return system

The machine automatically accepts:

• PET bottles from 0.25 l to 3 l,
• aluminium cans from 0.25 l to 1 l.

This makes it a perfect fit for the requirements of the deposit-return system and handles the most popular types of packaging.

Speed and efficiency

Recomat SMART RVM 2.0 processes on average around 25–30 containers per minute, which helps reduce queues and serve customers efficiently.

The high-performance compactor and the shaker installed at the bottom of the device mean that the bins can hold:

• approx. 1,000 PET bottles,
• approx. 900 ALU cans.

This translates into less frequent bag emptying and a lower workload for staff.

Smart technologies and security

The new model has been equipped with our proprietary packaging-shape recognition system, which works together with:

• a scale,
• a scanner,
• metal sensors,
• a lockable intake and an alarm system.

Together, this forms an effective anti-fraud protection system, with the option to install an additional surveillance camera.

In addition, the machine features a self-repair system – it can detect minor malfunctions and independently launch simple recovery procedures, e.g. moving the belts to clear a jam. This reduces the risk of downtime and shortens response times.

Outdoor operation without additional housing

Recomat SMART RVM 2.0 is designed for outdoor operation in temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. Importantly, it does not require any additional roofing or enclosure, which lowers implementation costs and gives more flexibility in choosing the location.

43″ screen and system integration

The device features a front 43″ LED screen, which:

• guides the user through the container return process,
• allows the display of advertisements, announcements and educational content,
• is managed remotely.

The machine can integrate with:

• a loyalty system (app or receipt),
• a payment terminal for refunding the deposit directly to a card.
